The King’s Ginger Winter Terrace at The Mitre Hotel

We’re back at the historic Mitre Hotel Hampton Court! Running from the 10th Novemeber until the end of the Christmas season, the terrace will mark the second collaboration between The King’s Ginger and the hotel, and will see an array of delicious cocktails served throughout the winter months.

Set on the banks of the River Thames opposite Hampton Court Palace, the recently transformed Mitre Hotel (named Sunday Times Best Hotel in London 2020) is a sophisticated and relaxed luxury boutique hotel with two restaurants & bars, unique events space, a riverside terrace, vintage food truck, private boat launch and 36 individually-designed bedrooms and suites.

Across autumn and winter, the terrace will serve beautiful mixed drinks including the King’s Ginger Hot Chocolate, Mulled Cider, and the King’s Ginger Penicillin.
Alongside the terrace, the partnership will see an array of events take place at the hotel, including the Mitre Hotel High Tea and Hampton Court Ice Rink Experience, running throughout winter, which features a special King’s Ginger serve and King’s Ginger Mince Pies, as well as the Christmas light switch on the 17th November. Guests will also be offered a complementary dram of King’s Ginger upon arrival, with a bottle placed in every room.

Both the venue and The King’s Ginger share a rich sense of history, especially amongst royalty. The Mitre Hotel has roots in the 17th century, with King Charles II having stayed in the original venue as far back as 1665, while we can trace our history back to 1903, when The King’s Ginger was formulated for His Majesty King Edward VII by Berry Bros. & Rudd.
